Don't complain about your second attempt being bad if you can't even post an image of it.
Second of all, we have taken time to test this exact skin on this exact laptop, using a skin we pulled straight from inventory.
As you can see from the dated photos, we were able to install the same skin flawlessly.
We'll go into detail on how we know you didn't watch the video: We haven't made any recent changes to inventory, so we can confirm that what you have is an installation error caused by you not watching the installation video. Most obviously, the gap is at the front of the skin. The installation video directs you to install the skin by starting at the front edge.
If you were following the video to the letter, you would have had to deliberately leave a gap at the front to get the result in your photos. The less obvious reason is that our skins are designed to leave a small gap all the way around. This is to stop them from peeling up over time. In your photos, you left almost no gap whatsoever at the bottom of the skin, where you started installation, meaning that there would obviously be a huge gap along the top.Īs those who watched the video know, you're told to leave a small gap when aligning along the front edge of the laptop. Again, if you had watched the installation video, you would have immediately noticed an issue upon shifting the 3M paper and checking the corner. Any rational human would have then peeled the whole thing up and reapplied, leaving a gap and centering the skin properly. The Apple logo on our skins is actually cut slightly smaller than the physical logo on the laptop itself. This stops slight misalignments during installation from making the logo look terrible. A "perfectly aligned" logo means absolutely nothing when aligning your skin. This is why we don't tell you to align using the logo. In fact, using the logo to align your skin will always result in a fucked up installation. Not only that, but we sell a no-logo version of the skin. If we were having customers align using the logo, how would a no-logo skin ever be applied?Ĭheck your email. We'll have one more replacement sent (free of charge) for you to try the installation again while actually following the instructions. There's a reason every single one of our orders comes with a card telling you to visit /how. There is only one way to apply our skins, dipshit. Okay I'm not sure about what happened with him and his reposting. And it looks really ugly with my matte black cover. For my first attempt I started from the back and this left an edge on the front, but the logo aligned perfectly fine.įor my second attempt, I started from the front and there is an edge at the back and the logo is misaligned. If you purposely leave this much of an edge on the skins for not peeling off, then how come this edge is only on the top/bottom sides. How come the skin flows edge-to-edge from the sides? That is not balanced at all. So if I do paste the skin with the border you recommend, I'll have a bottom and top margin but not on the sides. I tried contacting you on Facebook but I got no response.
